What the analysis checks

The price

Compared with a RenoIndex range for the same quantity and your postcode.

Forgotten items

Scaffolding, disposal, connections, commissioning: what inflates the final bill.

The terms

Deposit, VAT, validity, timeline and warranty: clauses to clarify before signing.

The right questions

3 to 5 precise, polite questions to paste into your reply.

How to read the verdict

Your quote's total incl. VAT is compared with the RenoIndex range calculated for the same quantity, postcode and building.

  1. Too low to be true

A price this low almost always hides missing items. Check point by point what is absent.

  2. Rather low

Your quote is below the usual range. Make sure nothing is missing.

  3. In line with the market

Your quote falls within the expected range for this work.

  4. Rather high

Your quote is above the usual range. Ask what justifies the gap.

  5. Far too high

Your quote is well above market prices. Have each item itemised before signing.
